Former Indian cricket star Manoj Tiwary has launched a scathing attack on coach GautamGambhir, labeling him a “hypocrite” following India’s recent losses in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and other series. Under Gambhir’s leadership, India suffered a 0-3 defeat to New Zealand at home and lost the ODI series in Sri Lanka. Tiwary criticized Gambhir’s coaching, stating that he has not met expectations and questioned the appointments of bowling coach MorneMorkel and assistant coach Abhishek Nayar.

Tiwary pointed out perceived biases within the team, suggesting that Rohit Sharma, being from Mumbai, has received preferential treatment. He expressed concern over JalajSaxena’s lack of recognition despite his strong performances. Tiwary also highlighted the strained relationship between Gambhir and Rohit, noting that while Rohit is a World Cup-winning captain, Gambhir’s achievements are limited to the IPL.

“How will they work together?” Tiwary asked, emphasizing that Gambhir’s success was a team effort. He urged for more balanced recognition within the team dynamics and criticized the overall decision-making process under Gambhir’s tenure. Tiwary’s comments reflect growing discontent regarding India’s management and performance in recent international matches.
