Indian spinners Ashwin and Jadeja have done really well over the past few years on home soil. The excitement for this series between India and Australia is for all the appropriate reasons because fans, experts, and everyone else thought that team Australia was going to be different from all the other teams that have toured India because Australia is among the best of the teams and has had a number of great performances over the year against team India. Steve and Marcus were among the batsmen who can perform exceptionally well, as they have 60 and 70 of a test average, respectively. Steve Smith scored a century in Pune in 2017 and had already proven how dangerous he can be, even on these Indian pitches. If both of these players get a bit better pitches, then they have the potential to score some big runs for their team just like Joe Root did in Chennai in 2021.
After losing the first match of the series in Nagpur by an inning and 132 runs, team Australia tried to do something different on the Delhi pitch, but this pitch was also not that much different from the pitch in Nagpur. The Australian batsman Usman Khawaja, who scored 81 runs in the first inning of the second test match by playing sweep shots, was the main reason for batting failure in the second inning, as all of the players were trying the sweep shot and failed miserably. Even the captain of the team, Pat Cummins, played a sweep shot and was bowled out. 
This led to the defeat of team Australia in the second match of the series, as well as team India beating them by six wickets.
