The issues of player availability, workload management and fitness parameters were also discussed at length during the meeting along with the roadmap to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
Key recommendations –
*To be eligible for selection to the national team, the developing players must compete in a lengthy domestic season.
*The Yo-Yo Test and Dexa will now be used in the central pool of players' personalised roadmaps and as selection criteria.
*The NCA will collaborate with the IPL Franchisee to keep an eye on the targeted Indian players who will be competing in the IPL 2023 while also taking into consideration the Men's FTP and ICC CWC 2023 preparations.
