On one side, Mohammed Shami is getting all the limelight for his amazing performance with the ball on the field, but despite this, the fast bowler of the Gujarat Titans has no rest off the field. His wife, Hasin Jahan, has filed a special petition with the Supreme Court in which she alleges that a criminal case against the India and GT fast bowler has been erroneously stayed for the past four years without any just circumstances. Jahan has now made new accusations that Shami is still continuing to engage in extra-material affairs with prostitutes, even while on overseas tours with the Indian Cricket Team.
Indian pacer Shami has denied all these allegations made by his wife. Back In the year 2018, Shami and his elder brother were questioned by the Kolkata Police Women’s Grievance Cell, and an arrest warrant was also issued against Shami by Alipore Court, but there was no action taken as the warrant was stayed.
In the recent plea by Jahan, the model also made allegations against Shami that he demanded dowry and continued to have extramarital affairs on tours with prostitutes.
According to the petition, "Mr. Shami used to use his second mobile phone, an HTC device with the number +447864905556, for managing all his affairs related to prostitutes, and the said phone was seized by the Lal Bazaar Police, Kolkata, in connection with the present crime." However, as per the allegations in the petition, Mr. Shami still continues to be involved in sexual activities with prostitutes.
Shami had said that he will apologize to his wife if any of these allegations were proven true. Earlier this year, the Kolkata court demanded from Shami that she pay a monthly alimony of Rs 50,000 to Jahan. His wife was dissatisfied with this and wanted 10 lakh rupees per month from the court. The court has rejected this request because Jahan is capable enough to manage herself and her daughter with her modelling job.
