Mohammed Siraj delivered a fiery performance in Gujarat Titans’ (GT) dominant 7-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, on Sunday. Opting to bowl first, GT restricted SRH to 152/8 in 20 overs, thanks to Siraj’s sensational spell of 4/17. He struck in the first over, dismissing Travis Head, and continued his onslaught by removing Abhishek Sharma, Aniket Verma, and Simarjeet Singh. R Sai Kishore (2/24) and Prasidh Krishna (2/25) also contributed with two wickets each. Nitish Reddy was SRH’s top scorer with 31 runs.

In response, SRH started strong with the ball, reducing GT to 16/2 early in their chase. However, Washington Sundar counter-attacked with a blistering 49 off 29 balls, while Shubman Gill anchored the innings with an unbeaten 61 off 43 deliveries. Their partnership ensured GT comfortably chased down the target In just 16.4 overs.

Siraj’s exceptional bowling not only helped GT secure a win but also saw him reach the milestone of 100 IPL wickets, joining an elite list of Indian pacers. With this victory, GT continues to impress in IPL 2025 as they strengthen their position in the points table.
