The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has voiced its discontent over the absence of its representatives during the ICC Champions Trophy presentation ceremony. Despite PCB COO Sumair Ahmed being present at the final in Dubai, he was not included in the presentation party, which featured Roger Twose, Jay Shah, Roger Binny, and Devajit Saikia.

Ex-cricketers Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar have criticized this oversight, emphasizing the importance of having a Pakistani representative on stage. Akram noted, "As hosts, it was odd not to have someone from the PCB present." The PCB chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, was unable to attend due to illness, but Ahmed's exclusion was seen as a significant omission.

Additionally, the decision to have Aaron Finch present the trophy instead of 2017 Champions Trophy-winning captain Sarfaraz Ahmed was also met with disappointment. The ICC had full authority over the presentation party's composition but chose not to include any Pakistani representatives. This has led to widespread dissatisfaction within the PCB and among Pakistani cricket fans.
