Liam Livingstone, the batsman for the England cricket team, is hoping to get fitness clearance from the England cricket board by this weekend in order to take part in the IPL season 2023. Livingstone has not played any competitive matches since suffering a knee injury on his test debut in Pakistan, which was 4 months ago. He has also endured an uncle injury last year, which got worse in the past few weeks, making his rehab tougher. It is sure that he will miss the third match of the season, which is against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 9, but can play the fourth match at home on April 13.
On LancsTV's coverage of Lancashire's opening County Championship fixture against Surrey, Livingstone said that "I am getting there, finally." He further said that it's been a long road: three or four days a week at the gym over the last three or four months. Maybe towards the end of this week or the start of next week, I will fly out to India and get going again.
He also said that he is feeling much better and had some injections midway through last week. It's settled down a lot, and Livingstone has finally been able to get outside, do some running, and get back to proper cricket stuff.
Livingstone is an important player for the Punjab kings, who bought him for Rs. 11.50 crore in the auction last year.
