Ravindra Jadeja has dismissed speculation about his retirement from One-Day Internationals (ODIs) after India's Champions Trophy victory over New Zealand. India ended a 13-year wait for the title by winning the match by four wickets. Jadeja, who had retired from T20Is in 2024, took to Instagram to quash rumors, stating "no unnecessary rumors, thanks".

The speculation arose after a warm hug between Jadeja and Virat Kohli during the final, reminiscent of past emotional moments involving Kohli and other retiring players. However, both Jadeja and captain Rohit Sharma have now denied any plans to retire from ODIs. Rohit Sharma clarified his intentions during a post-match press conference, expressing his focus on the 2027 ODI World Cup.

Jadeja played a crucial role in the final, picking the key wicket of Tom Latham and hitting the winning runs. He was awarded the Fielder of the Match for his outstanding fielding performance. While Kohli remains silent on his future, both Jadeja and Rohit have put retirement rumors to rest for now.
