The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are eager to secure their first IPL title in 2025, kicking off their pre-season camp in Bengaluru just weeks after assembling their squad at the IPL Auction. Despite the tournament’s tentative schedule still being undecided, RCB’s management and coach Andy Flower have made their intentions clear for the upcoming season.

During the auction, RCB made some controversial decisions, notably not retaining Mohammed Siraj and Glenn Maxwell. However, they compensated for these losses by acquiring Phil Salt and Josh Hazlewood, among others. A key signing this year is promising England all-rounder Jacob Bethell, while veteran Bhuvneshwar Kumar will bolster their bowling attack.

The pre-season camp has seen participation from several players, including those involved in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, such as Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rajat Patidar, Jitesh Sharma, Yash Dayal, and Rasikh Dar. Notably absent are Virat Kohli and Hazlewood, who are engaged in the ongoing IND vs AUS series.

There are also reports suggesting that Virat Kohli may return as captain after the team decided to part ways with Faf Du Plessis. If true, this could positively impact the team’s dynamics as they aim for a successful campaign in IPL 2025.
