After a disastrous 2022 season, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are motivated to make a big recovery in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL). Stephen Fleming, the franchise's coach since 2009, remarked of a 'unexpected' occasion at a training camp at Chepauk when MS Dhoni stepped out to bat. Despite not having played at their home stadium in the previous two seasons, Fleming observed something genuinely spectacular during a training session.

CSK have begun to put in the work to prepare for what may be MS Dhoni's final season as a player in the franchise after acquiring a few excellent players in the recently ended auction. Despite the fact that the next season begins in around three months, certain players, such as Dhoni, who are no longer participating in any other format, must put in extra work to match the intensity of others.

Fleming spoke about his return to Chepauk, where 20,000 fans gathered to see the players, including Dhoni, practise in a video provided by CSK.

"The noise is a component of it. That's what you associate with the game. It was a practise day that really hit home for me when we got back in and MS came up to bat in front of 20,000 fans for our homecoming. I hadn't encountered anything like the excitement and noise of a session before. It was pretty distinctive, and I know a lot of players and individuals who noticed it "According to Fleming in the video.

The former New Zealand captain revealed that the players' greeting during the training session gave him chills.

"It made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. It was fantastic to attempt to coach the guys in that sort of setting. It was a great way to get back to our roots "CSK's head coach stated.

The Super Kings, who have previously won the IPL four times, will be seeking to win it for the fifth time when the new season begins later this year.
